Busy Sunday.
Woke up this morning to a beautiful surprise of a 4 pound weight loss! Yay! Totally inspires me to keep going. And i'm going to go get my first cooking class from my mother in law today. I'm so excited to tackle that obstacle! :)

Ramblings.
I'm going to take a quick second to just AW my daughter for a bit. I went to Kohl's to buy her and the boys new clothes and wanted to play dress up with her. I would say she more than pulled it off! This girl LOVES the camera, it's so funny. And of course, she gets a little encouragement from her parents too ;)
Quick update on my tonsillectomy recovery. It still sucks. The pain might be getting less and less every day but the fact that food just doesnt taste good right now really sucks. On the bright side, i'm not as hungry AND i've managed to lose a couple of pounds (which wont go into my weight loss tracker until next weigh in).
I am so excited because I am finally going to learn how to cook! Yes, I dont know how to cook what.so.ever. So my awesome mother in law is going to teach me. I'm pretty excited. That is the last obstacle I needed to overcome to really feel secure and confident in my position as "homemaker". I always feel kind of guilty checking that little box when asked what my occupation is because I feel that a true homemaker wouldnt call dinner mac and cheese and a frozen pizza. Luckily Chris is a really good cook (even better griller) so we're safe for now. Once I make guinea pigs out of my family, then i'm sure no one would have wished I learned! Or at least tried.

Our garden.
Chris started setting up our garden about 2 months ago. I'm not one who has a green thumb at all, but i'm beyond amazed how great it looks already! He planted a peach tree, strawberries, raspeberries, grapes, tomatoes, romaine lettuce, onions, and cilantro. Everything is already growing perfectly. Maybe gardening will be in my future soon?

Yuck.Yuck.Yuck.
The DR warned me that my tonsils were going to hurt like hell when this weekend fell upon us. I didnt believe her. No way. There is no way you can go through surgery, feel great right after and then BOOM, be surprised by an onset of pain. But I was WRONG. Not only did I wake up on Saturday morning feeling like a thousand knives were penetrating my skin, I made the mistake of opening my mouth and seeing what was left of my old, ugly tonsils. And I was disgusted to see that it is now all covered in white substance. And cottage cheesy looking. Thought that was the worst of it and felt like a big girl since I dealt with the pain but OMG. That ENT sure wasnt lying when she said I would notice a disgusting taste in the back of my mouth. GROSS. So because I obviously dont want to swallow because of the pain, I unconciously start swallowing every other second and now i'm stuck with a taste that what can only be described as SHIT. I'd take a picture but even that is too gruesome.
Handy Jacob
I dont know what I did right to have given birth to 3 beautiful children, but I definitely dont know what great karma Im getting paid for having a 5 year old who is interested in helping me clean. So I am going to milk it for all it's worth and keep him around for awhile. Hopefully he stays on this path until he's outta my house.
First feeding (:
Yesterday Chris and I decided that it was time to slowly introduce Applesauce to Julianne. She just seems ready so we propped her up on her boppy and slowly started spoon feeding her. We had success! She absolutely loves applesauce and it got a bit messy but it was all worth it to see her huge smile when she realized she had applesauce on her tongue!

My sleeping buddy.
Wanna know who has been keeping me company as I recover from my tonsillectomy? My beautiful daughter! She is definitely the best sleeping buddy around!
